Our dog Watson - 2/04

Mike and I have been thinking about getting a dog for a while. After all, we have the yard now! This weekend we decided to look for a labrador retriever. At first we were going to get a puppy, but there are so many dogs without homes out there, we finally decided to rescue a dog from a shelter. And when we saw this guy's face on labrescue.org -- well, it was as good as sealed.

We took Monday off so we could drive up to the shelter he was at - about 3 hours north of here. It was well worth it, Watson is a great dog and we have been having nothing but fun! He is a chocolate labrador retriever, about 11 months old, with lots of puppy energy, but also layed back and pretty well behaved. Now the fun starts!
